The three o’clock ride to town brought the morning Northern Electric sign and the sky Holding on to shades of arms and the little time we have to care We ride the rambling, rolling highway van And the friends we share Are not to be forgotten Not to be forgotten They know their minds They see the lives they wear They may not know my fortune Nor my stumbling roadways there But they’re warm inside your life As they should be We spoke of rhyme and words that have a meaning Drifting sea and those who find their way The light was soft and warmed the strings that rang the satin-like air Music plays my sighing, crying fears away And the friends we share Are not to be forgotten Not to be forgotten They know their minds They see the lives they wear They may not know my fortune Nor my stumbling roadways there But they’re warm inside your life As they should be And sleep crept through the curtains but was smiling The silent road to home calling me Holding on to shades of arms and the little time we have to care We ride the rambling, rolling highway van And the friends we share Are not to be forgotten Not to be forgotten They know their minds They see the lives they wear They may not know my fortune Nor my stumbling roadways there But they’re warm inside your life And it’s warm inside your life And warm inside your life I’d like to be

Did you look at that girl? I wish you’d look the other way She’s got something up her sleeve I don’t believe it’s going away Hard luck, bet you any money You won’t take the time To find the one and only cure Don’t you look at that girl Oh, don’t you look at that girl She’s got sisters all around the world She’s an expert, don’t you see that she’s always Showing off her expert-tease She’s got a lot of nerve You know she don’t deserve what I got Can’t believe my ears I think I hear another cheap shot Don’t buy it, there isn’t any more She’s got your number It’ll just get you in trouble for sure Don’t you look at that girl Oh, don’t you look at that girl She’s got sisters all around the world She’s an expert, don’t you see that she’s always Showing off her expert-tease Don’t let me down You know I tell you that it’s wrong, wrong, wrong No heart, no soul Just the real chance of ending up all alone Oh, don’t you look at that girl She’s got sisters all around the world She’s an expert, don’t you see that she’s always Showing off her expert-tease Don’t you look at that girl She’s got sisters all around the world She’s an expert, don’t you see that she’s always Showing off her expert-tease

I’ve been thinking all along You were right, I was wrong Now I know that I’m okay Better off this way Thinking about, ‘bout you day and night Without you to hold me tight In so long, so long Please take the rest of me To keep myself company What’s the sense of leaving me And walking off with my heart? I was thinking later on I’d be fine, I’d be strong Only thing is, now and then I just can’t pretend I don’t think about you all day long Without you I can’t go on Anymore, anymore Please take the rest of me To keep myself company What’s the sense of leaving me And walking off with my heart? With my heart With only part of my being What’s the sense, what’s the sense of leaving? Please take the rest of me To keep myself company What’s the sense of leaving me And walking off with my heart? With my heart
